Privacy policy

This page explains what personal data is collected on this site, why, and what your rights are. It is written in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The principle: the bare minimum

This is a static website. It contains no advertising cookies, no third-party trackers, no social media buttons and no profiling tools. That is why you see no consent banner: there is nothing to consent to.

Fonts are hosted on our own server rather than loaded from a third-party service: your visit triggers no request to any external server.

Data collected

Contact form

When you write to us through the form, we receive:

• your first and last name;
• your email address;
• your phone number, if you provide it;
• the dates and number of guests you have in mind;
• the content of your message.

Purpose: to answer your availability enquiry and, where relevant, to arrange your stay. This data is not used for any other purpose.

Legal basis: your enquiry constitutes a pre-contractual step taken at your request (article 6.1.b of the GDPR).

Retention: three years from the last contact, then deletion. If your enquiry leads to a booking, contract-related data is kept for the statutory period applicable to commercial records.

Processor

Delivery of form messages is handled by a technical provider acting as a processor within the meaning of the GDPR, which does not use your data for its own purposes.

This is Netlify, Inc. (512 2nd Street, Suite 200, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA), which also hosts this site. Messages pass through its Netlify Forms service and are forwarded to us by email. Netlify participates in the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Its privacy policy is available at netlify.com/privacy.

Analytics

No audience measurement is carried out on this site: we use no analytics tool, no measurement cookie and no tracker. Your visit is neither counted nor analysed.

Server logs

Our host keeps technical connection logs (IP address, date and time, page visited) for security and service reliability. These logs are kept for a limited period and are not used for commercial purposes.

Recipients

Your data is intended solely for the owners of Villa Roucas. It is never sold, rented or transferred to third parties, and is not used for any marketing.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict the processing of, object to and port your data.

To exercise these rights, write to us at contact.villaroucas@gmail.com. We reply within one month at the latest.

Security

The site is served entirely over HTTPS. Exchanges between your browser and the server are encrypted.

Changes

This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the site or to the law. The version in force is the one published on this page.
