Thursday or Sunday
The Provençal market runs on Thursday and Sunday mornings, all year round. Stalls are up by about 7 am and start packing away from 1 pm.
On Sunday the whole centre is taken over: place de la Liberté, place Ferdinand Buisson, rue Carnot, the quays, and the brocante that extends it. Crowds peak between 10 am and 1 pm.
On Thursday the market is smaller and gathered around the church and place Rose Goudard. The growers are the same as on Sunday, with few enough people to talk to them.
Parking
The centre is a zone bleue: free parking, but limited to two hours with a disc, from 8 am to 8 pm. The nearby car parks are paid during the day and free in the evening.
On Sunday all of it is saturated by mid-morning. The outlying car parks stay available longer, for about fifteen minutes’ walk to the stalls.
- On Sunday, arrive before 9 am to park in the centre
- On Thursday, parking presents no difficulty
- Bring cash: many small growers do not take cards
- In July and August, bring a cool bag for fresh produce
